Microphone assistance requested
I know the SQRT of diddly-doo about microphones/recording but I want to get
hold of a pair to try and record some piano playing straight into a little cassette recorder I have (with 2 x 1/4 inch jack sockets) or, failing that, straight to computer hard disk (at a distance of about 20') via the normal computer mic 3+mm stereo socket. So, here's a few questions: a) Firstly, does anybody have anything suitable (but not too expensive) they want to get rid of? c) Could someone cut straight through all the complicated bits and point me to the best solution? d) Are these mics on eBay No. 4013351581 the utter poo they appear to be or does anyone think they might do the job for the short-term at least while I get it all sussed out? Grateful for any assistance with this, if any forthcoming..... (Next stop - Studer C37 if all goes well! :-) |

Hi Keith,
In message , Keith G writes I'll try to get a proper answer to you later, but for the moment... d) Are these mics on eBay No. 4013351581 the utter poo they appear to be or does anyone think they might do the job for the short-term at least while I get it all sussed out? Yes, absolutely utter poo. Bad. Very bad, and definitely not good for recording piano. (Next stop - Studer C37 if all goes well! :-) Go careful with that... "it's not the parts, it's the labour guv" :-) -- Regards, Glenn Booth |
