FS: or Swap Digital Camera
 

Not actually FS: - I did that for the spam blockers.

Some time back, someone (sorry to say I dont remember who now) said they
were trying (struggling?) to get the necessary together to get themselves a
digital camera. Well a nice little camera has hit me upside the head and
there may be an opportunity for someone! - Put simply, I 'upgraded' my son
and it turns out he didn't need upgrading...!!

He takes after me - learn how to use one of these little buggers and the
last thing you want is another one which is totally different! For that very
reason, it's about as much use to me as another...... (fill in the blank)!
Both Swim and I have already got nice cameras we like, don't need/want to
change and which will serve our needs for all eternity....

(Actually, I haven't even bothered to investigate 90% of the features on the
camera I've got!!)

So, if that person (or anyone else) wants to swap summat nice in the way of
audio kit for a nice little camera which has not been raced or rallied (or
even used, come to that) would they please contact me direct. I've no idea
what I'm looking for and won't know until someone suggests summat appealing
to match it in terms of new cost/present value/quiet magnificence. (An
'equal' swap IOW... ;-)

It's a Samsung Digimax 350SE (3.2 Megapixels) and is boxed, complete with
all cables, case, CDROM etc. I think it's got a 128 CompactFlash card in it
and offers 933 shots in whatever the current setting is. Standout features
are a truly useful Movie With Sound which I think will allow 5+ minutes
recording on its present card and it follows the current horse**** trend of
attaching a respected, venerable German 'Optik' name to a fine Japanese
lens....

Open to all and any suggestions - I love trading (as a few here will allow)
and fekkin' hate 'flogging' stuff. (eBay it? - er, I don't think so......)

(Tell you summat - I could *never* go back to a film camera!!! - Why take
one pic when you can take a 100 for no extra cost???)

On that subject, the image size/resolution combinations are far too many to
work out, but with the 128 CF card it seems to offer 600+ 1024 x whatever in
'Fine' Mode. 900+ shots in 'Not Fine' Mode and over 3,000 shots in
'Small/Not Fine' mode!! Largest image size is 2048 x ???, btw.

(Accurate info if anyone wants it!)

If anyone is interested, I need to know before I get too attached to it -
it's got some dead handy features on it my own camera doesn't have and the
little movies **** on my own camera's efforts! (And I really don't want to
be 'driving two different cars on alternate days', IYSWIM...!!! :-)
