Now tell me, Don, what are we going to do with your communication problems? You
can't stop referring to people as stupid, picking fights and using nothing more
than the defence mechanism that "I'm cleverer than everyone else". Now, this is
likely to make you few friends and annoy a lot of people, as I'm sure you have
already discovered in your life. Why, for instance, is it so important that you
have to be cleverer than others? Were you bullied in school, did you have
spots, did nobody take you seriously? Was being a bit of a boffin therefore
your only way of standing out in a crowd? Did this combine with your lack of
social skills to give you only one path to follow when dealing with others,
with the result that the approval and warmth that you really seek became even
more remote and you ended up a mere shell, barking awkwardly at those you
really seek a companions? ............
