Ofcom want to turn off FM signal

""We're aiming for 2010 to 2012 in digital switchover in TV and I don't
think it will be that long thereafter [for radio]," Kip Meek, senior
partner in content and competition at Ofcom, told the Radio Festival in
Birmingham today."
Make the most of your FM tuners while you can because they want to make
us downgrade to DAB....

Yes the wonderful world of digital **** poor broadcasting. Wouldn't
worry about your FM tuner being made obsolete overnight. Just some
overpaid characters at Ofcom stirring the **** to appease their
political masters, and to justify their extortinate salaries

Digital per se is not bad. It's just the persuit of the almighty dollar,
and the extreme compression they use to get as much for their MegaHertz
as they can, which causes the problems.

Gimme guaranteed 320kbps digital on all channels and I'd be in there like a
shot
