Default CD player for MP3

I've decided it's time I replaced my Philips CD104 player with something a
bit more modern. I'm looking for a player which can also handle MP3 tracks.
So far I've only found the Marantz CD7300. Does anyone know of any others?
TIA
Nick.

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. I'm looking for something to go with my
(so-called) hi-fi system i.e. not a portable.
Talked to Sevenoaks Hi-Fi today and they reckon that Marantz is the only
one. They were very sniffy - I asked if they'd tried it with an MP3 CD and
they replied "we don't do MP3 here". They were still dead set on trying to
sell me one - at about 60 quid more than Richer Sounds want.
Nick.

Can't comment on the audio quality, but most DVD players from £50 upwards
(and probably less the way it's gone lately) will play audio CDs and MP3
CDs.

Might be worth a look before parting with £240 on the Marantz if you think
it's overkill other than the MP3 capability.

Paul

Agreed. I've walked out in despair more than once. It was in Sevenoaks
that I learned my 'shake head in disbelief and walk out slowly while
chuckling' routine, which seems to be a fairly good way to deal with
balshy, ill-educated salespeople. They never seem to know how to deal
with that approach :-)

It's a shame really, as they've had some nice kit for sale at various
times. I could go in to a rant about the decline in staff quality in
audio stores, but I won't; there are some good ones left. I have to put
in a good word for the guys at Audio-T in High Wycombe, who seem to
avoid the dreaded bull**** and manage to have a decent grasp on reality.

Yes, the eBench KH6777 (?) currently all of £30 at Lidl's is perfectly
capable of playing CD/R/RW and MP3 as well as being a perfectly good DVD
player with Progressive Scan *and* Component Video, would you believe?

A 'no-brainer' (as they say) in my book......

;-)
