Sub crossover/standmounts?
I'm thinking of replacing my Rel Storm amp panel with one that's got a
better crossover filter, and routes frequencies above the knob setting to the phono outputs. So I'm looking at a BK digital switching sub amp panel, or perhaps SVS PCi panel. # Now I've currently got DAC to 8000S, then onto 8000SX, then speakers. Subwoofer connected to speaker level. Speakers are receiving full-range audio. See pic with another method. DAC plugs into amp sub panel, which then routes sub knob setting to sub, above that to RCA outputs. Then onto integrated/amp/speakers. So the 8000S (in pre-power mode) and 8000SX will recieve everything above 60hz, sub 60hz http://nathansilly.012webpages.com/pic.JPG Is this a good idea? Or are the internals of amp sub panels pretty crappy that I should just leave it connected as "#" and then just replace amp sub panel, send speaker level to sub, adjust as desired? (standmounts still receive full-range) ta for any help |

Anyone know of high quality line level like the Paradigm X-30? ta |

There's a few on ebay at the moment Nick PS Nath, why are you looking for an alternative to the the Paradigm X-30? |

Not too sure about Behringer products for Hi-Fi, I know people use a BFD 1124P on the sub channel which shouldn't make too much difference. If I can get a X-30 from Richer Sounds- great. But when I try to contact them they're only interested in selling what's on the shelf, not special orders. There's got to be high quality similar products to the Paradigm X-products? |
