I have seen some used Ruark Templar (at a resonable price) and wonder
about technical specification:
Impedance, sensitivity and frequency response.
Can't find this on the net.

Epecially interested if the impedance is SET-friendly (without low
peaks).

damped. Bass/mid is 165mm treated paper cone, pure rubber surround,
precision cast chassis, high flux magnet system.
Crossover - Precision audio grade components (8 element). Crossover point is
2.6 KHz.
Frequency Response - 55Hz - 20 KHz +/- 3 dB (free space conditions).
Nominal Impedance - 8 ohms.
Amplifier requirements (?) - 20/100 watts.
Sensitivity - 87 dB/Watt
Dimensions HWD - 70 x 19 x 26cm.
Weight (each) - 12 Kg.

Epecially interested if the impedance is SET-friendly (without low
peaks).

No idea, it's not easy to tell with Ruark - their models vary too much.
Ruark had (have?) the habit of using various OEM makes of drivers which were
invariably 'tweaked' to their own requirements (and are therefore possibly
no longer available for the older models).

I have the (excellent) Paladins with Focal drivers which seem to be a nice
load for valves, including my 4 watt SET. I had a pair of the (truly
excellent) Sabres which were Vifa drivers and they were a nice load for
anything, I also once had a pair of Broadswords with Dynaudio drivers and
they were pigs to drive. All of them sounded pretty good, I might add.....

I suggest you contact Ruark direct and ask someone (there is/was only about
6 or 7 of them) - I have Alan Street down as Production Manager on
01702-601410 ext. 24, if it is still correct. A very nice chap who seems to
know all about Ruark speakers. I'm sure he'll give you the answers you want,
if you catch him at the right time.
