Hello pop-pickers

Not sure where else I can ask, so I'll try this list !
Name this song !

A group, all white blokes, I think,
not sure which nationality, but sing in English,
a sort of mildly progressive pop ballad,
singer-guitarist slightly plump, I think, and definitely bald,
and definitely sat on a chair all through the video clip,
a live concert, I seem to recall,
and here is the most helpful clue :
the audience in the video clip sing along in the refrain
and make some kind of sign with their hands or fingers,
a "V" or "Z" or some such.

Any ideas anyone ?
