I realise Vellerman do a VCA type, but the actual audio quality isn't good, and it defaults to zero if powered down. A kit without case and PS would be fine as it will be built in. Or a complete unit if cheap enough. **Funnily enough, I had a request from a client last week for just such a thing. The local electronics stores used to sell them as kits, but no longer do. I tracked down the PCB supplier, who still has some boards left. He also has the microprocessors available as well. I will be ordering a kit for my client. I will be using an ALPS 'Blue Velvet' pot for my client. Let me know if you want me to secure another PCB and micro for you. Do you know who made the kits? **Yes. They're locally assembled (here in Australia). Is there a published circuit diagram? **Yes. I'll post more information, as I recieve it. Excellent. Looking forward to it. P.S. Whereabouts in OZ are you? Ian -- Ian Bell |

I need one for a one off project. But plenty seem to like passive pre-amps, and that would allow just simple remote control of level without any chance of signal degradation. But I can see if it was sold in a box with a fancy label it wouldn't be good value... I'm not sure it's what you want but have a look at the Xantech stuff from letsautomate.com |

I've ordered them but have found out my UK bank can't do an electronic transfer to yours. So much for technology. I've sent you an e-mail. ;-) -- *A closed mouth gathers no feet.* Dave Plowman London SW To e-mail, change noise into sound. |
