What is it sullied with?

Dust & powder, just give it a pat down and possibly a hoover. If
it's clingy stuff, we get into the "is the grille removable"
categories.

Hi, I fear a hover wont do the job, it looks as if its been a liquid at some
point.
The grilles are removeable. I dont know if speaker cloth shrinks or has any
other characteristic when it gets wet.

Cheers

You could use dry cleaning fluid, say carbon tech.

Carbon Tetrachloride is carcinogenic and banned from use. I strongly advise
you not to use that.
Soak them in the bath with some hot soapy water.
