Mana equipment is I believe used in several professional recording
studios (and to the best of my knowledge, like anyone else they have
to buy it), so the normal "it's snake oil" comments do have at least
a degree of potential rebuttal in this instance.
I don't have a problem with sturdy supports, nor with the price of Mana
stands, which appear to be well designed and engineered, and look very
nice. Personally I wouldn't buy them: my equipment, room, situation and
available budget don't make me their target customer, but I can see why
people might buy them.
My question was to the OP: his eBay auction page shows a photo of
equipment on two towers of Mana Sound Stages (effectively very short
tables), and I was curious why he had (presumably) expended such a large
amount of money on an unusual support strategy.
Of course, it's none of my business how he chooses to spend his money: I
was just intrigued to see such an odd setup. I am not hurling snake oil
accusations.
