However, the BBC designed RP2 which had two modified 301 which allowed cuing and 'instant' start, was originally fitted with mono only Tannoy turnover cartridges then G800 for stereo compatibility. Probably because the G800 survived well enough considering its price. And it was only TV, after all. ;-) Radio DJs wanted the Gates fitted with Stantons they'd been used to on pirate ships. -- *I brake for no apparent reason.
