Default Looking for Ortofon cartridge for Dual turntable

Moving house recently, I damaged the Ortofon cartridge used in my old Dual
505 turntable. The cartridge type number is TKS49S, and the stylus used is a
Dual DN149S.

Can anyone tell me how I can find a replacement cartridge. The turntable is
about 20 years old, so it's no great shakes if I have to throw it out, but
it's such a good turntable, so if the catrridge is the cheaper option, then
why

The Dual 505 is a good deck and worth keeping.
Try these for replacement

Good question for uk.rec.audio.vinyl, given that aside from spam it's dying
for posts....

I would like to subscribe to this group as a long time Vinyl user - but my
ISP doesn't seem to carry this group - is there anything I can do to get it
?

Hi Mike,

A good question. I think that the reason the group is dying for posts
is that few of us vinyl nuts can gain access to it. I have corresponded
with my ISP, and taken various courses of action suggested by them, but
still have no access either.

Another route is to use News Net. Information about the NetNews service
is available at:

http://news.individual.net/

The trouble there is that this is a university website, which seems
unmanned (unpersoned?) over this summer recess period.

One further option, is to do an online search for "uk.rec.audio.vinyl".
This should take you to another site which enables you to read posts. I
have done this from my work computer but, for some software reason,
can't gain home access!

I have been using news.individual.de (after moving from BT) for a few
months now without any problems, other than this weeks downtime. I'd
definitely recommend switching
