Amp for Dynaudio Contour S1.4

I have just purchased some of the above speakers. I currently use a
Cyrus 6 amp and an Arcam CD92T Cd player.
Whilst the Cyrus is nice it is a bit underpowered for these new
speakers.
I was think I need something in the region of 150 watts into 4 ohms to
drive these babies. Any thoughts from members??
I have the following AMPs on my list but if there are any that I am
missing that need my attention I would be grateful if you could
highlight them to me. I was thinking in the region of £1500 but would
go further for the right product
Arcam FMJ23
AVI Integrated
Cyrus 8vs??
2nd hand Krell 300il or is it i ??
If I could get say a Merdian 556 power or a Bryston 3bsst within price
that would be great.
Thanks for any advice offered
I've got some Contour 1.1s and find they do benefit from a certain kind
of amp. I've found 100w middle range (Roksan Kandy, Marantz 7200) don't
quite do it - the bass is a little 'light and loose'. Same with Audiolab
8000A.
Ones that have worked include an old cambridge 100W power amp, some
enormous Hitachi amp I have, and a Beard 100w valve amp. I don't know
why - figures suggest little difference between them.
My favourite all-rounder remains a tiddly 25w valve amp - loses it at
volume but quite sublime at normal listening levels.
All very much IMHO and to get the ball rolling.
