Default aluminium anodizing

Hello all, I'm after a product that when brushed onto an aluminium surface,
transforms and turns it black. A friend of mine tells me it is a clear
liquid.

Does anybody know off this chemical?
I believe it to be quite corrosive.

thx

RS Components do a kit including anodised aluminium panels which you can
expose to UV lighting via a transparency to do custom print panels. The
dyes available include black, red, green and blue. With care it produces
excellent and very durable results. And at a fraction of the price of
having it done professionally.

Whatever you're referring to certainly isn't anodising which is an
electrochemical process followed by dyeing as required to the colour wanted.

Caustic Soda & Hot water will do this.

The prep work before anodising needs to be done very carefully.
Every tiny scratch and blemish needs to be polished out, as they show
through
the anodised surface and look awful. Also, if you have tapped holes, you
should
fit plastic machine screws to these before the plates go for processing.
