Default expressimo counterweight for RB300 problem

I've just bought an Expressimo counterweight for my 1½ year old Rega P3
turntable.
I can't mount it on the RB300 stub, the stub only get halfway throug the
hole in the counterweight.
I can't even get it off again.
I'm somewhat afraid to damage the arm bearings using to much "violence".
(I have loosened the small screew in the top, so thats not the problem).
The company dosn't respont to mails.
Any suggestions or experiences?

Please excuse this if it's too basic, but it seems to me that you might
need a different end stub to 'mate' the weight?

Excuse me if this is too obvious but: Did you loosen the set-screw
before fitting it?

As far as I understand the stub the counterweight is made for the RB300 stub
but the RB250 needs a special stub.

Yes, the small in the top, even took it all out, but not the big
extra-weight screw in the buttom (dosn't go all way through).

Problem solved...
My second mail to the company was not rejected by the mail server and then I
got at prompt answer with an offer to have the unit replaced.
