This is posted for 'offlist' purposes but it's a pity to waste it:

Anybody name the band then?

No, bugger that - too easy! Name the sax player instead!!

:-)

Enjoy, all you lucky Broadbanders loafing about at work in offices with
slack/dozy managers!! :-)

Not a problem - just pop off to Cuba and get me a Romeo & Juliet, would you?

A golliwog badge *and* a cigar!

The track name was a bit of a clue, although I'm not aware of a Weather
Report track by that name, and I haven't heard that particular track. The
opening sounds a bit like Teen Town, though. To me, it was about 80-90%
Weather Report with hints of Brand X, so the Wayne chappie was a good guess
(especially since Brand X don't do sax, that I'm aware of).

I really *must* get my hands on Heavy Weather...

It pays to be bright and attentive:-)

I found two brand new WR CDs in their celophane wrappers just
a few days ago in a market in Stockholm. I paid EUR 1 for each
of them!! The titles are "Nigh Passage" and "Mysterious Traveller"
Both are on the Columbia Jazz series, and immaculately
remastered. Wayne Shorter plays on both.

Highly recommended.

There isn't one AFAIK - I named the track that after I chopped it out of the
'string of sausages' that I recorded (whole of side 1)... ;-)
