Default Win 95 Power Tools/DVD writer problems

I mentioned Win 95 Power Tools a few days back as I had just installed it to
be able to produce directory names (albums) in a list.

Do *not* install this on an XP machine without great care. In fact, do NOT
install it at all - it infested my machine with a number of other little
utilities I didn't want, put a load of crap in my Startup and caused
problems with my DVD writer. I got a 'Blank CD' message from everything I
put in it and ended up upgrading my DVD writer unnecesarily, before I
spotted the problem and solved it.

However, as they say, every cloud has a silver lining - here's mine (*very*
silver, in fact):

This little bugger looks the ********, will read everything (including RAM),
write to +/-, do dual/double layer disks (when they are available and come
down in price) and costs nowt from http://www.svp.co.uk/ (the Blank Disc
Shop) whom I can recommend without reservation - truly *excellent* service
and prices, especially if you can wait for a '99p Delivery Charge' special
which come up every couple of months!
