Today's weather in the UK = 31C/Strong Sunshine

**31oC is a scorcher????!!! You have no idea about hot weather. Trust me on
this.

It's relatively hot for the UK!

We had some friends visiting the UK from Adelaide a few years back. He used to tease us about
the reposts they would get of us sweltering under a 28C 'heatwave' saying that it's not even
getting warm until it hits 40.

One day we were planning on a trip to London, the temp was around 30 and he was completely
wiped out, we had to cancel.. "They never mentioned the humidity on the weather reports" he
was heard to complain..

**Yep. Those Adelaidians get it real easy. 20% humidity is not unusual. Here
in Sydney, we cop the odd 40oC day, combined with high humidity. It just
sucks the life out of you. Shopping centres tend to get big crowds on those
days, thanks to their huge air cons.

That would be all the ME and valve amps doing their bit for global
warming. :-)

**Nope. That would be all those gas-guzzling autos, big air cons and all
that other stuff which is significant. Running an ME amp for a couple of
hours a day has minimal impact in the big scheme of things. One could argue
that the fact that ME owners tend to keep their amps for several decades
outweighs their excessive power consumption, compared to the energy cost
during manufacture.

Yes, I saw the smiley.
