Who will fit a system?

I am looking to ripout the walls of the lounge and wire the whole thing up
for inset speakers and a plasma screen etc etc

I assume there are some decent UK based audio/vision people who will come
and do this for me as well as sell me the kit.

Any recommendations?

many thanks

Andy

Inset speakers ain't a good idea sound wise - the wall causes sound
reflections and will ruin the stereo image. Mounting conventional speakers
on brackets from the ceiling or walls is a better option if you really
don't want floor standers.

I doubt there are any nation wide firms like you get for double glazing
etc, so a location would help for a personal recommendation. I have a pal
who does this sort of thing, and he's based round Guildford, but will
obviously travel as this sort of work doesn't come cheap.

Any recommendations?

Dave

I live in Reigate which is 20mins from Guildford. I need to kick some ideas
around with someone who has some decent knowledge. Is this your guy?

http:www.cornflake.co.uk

They have installed complex multi-room systems including all wiring
required for a variety of folks, Stirling Moss being perhaps one of the
most notable.

(the URL above should have been http://www.cornflake.co.uk, of course)

I am now able to confirm that Cornflake are able to undertake all work
involved in even the most complex multi-room installations including
routing cable from room to room, installation of all necessary
components etc. Having spoken to Dominic at Cornflake yesterday about
this, on site installations of this type are something that they
particularly specialise in.
