Well if you just want to spend regardless of quality, I'd imagine the original of these would fetch a fair bit... http://www.tinfoil.com/tinfoil.htm Surviving recordings to use on it are even more exotic, given they have a normal lifespan of a few hours. Unless you make your own, in which case the media is surprisingly resonable ;) I also managed to find a fuss about... "12 watt per channel, Ongaku tube amplifier, in which the tubes are obscure and rare triode power tubes and the transformers are wound from silver wire with tweezers, by hand" .... I found one 2nd hand, $20,000 per monoblock. So _very_ quiet stereo bi- amping for ~£130k. -- Jim H |
