Isn't it easier to make the speaker holes while the board is still
loose?

No - one side of each of these (and the Pinks) is 'screwed only' (ie not
glued yet) for access to the internals, so whizzing out the hole will
actually be much easier due to the box section, but I can't do the holes yet
'coz I don't have the drivers yet!

Plus I'm toying with the idea of a little fol-de-rol about the driver to
'individualise' them and 'optimise the delivery of transients' (naturally) -
the London Transport logo is 'with me' atm....

:-)

(Such fun - ****es all over the idea of fancy, expensive *ding attractant*
shop finishes.....)

OK, try this:

http://www.apah69.dsl.pipex.com/show...ntransport.jpg

I'm visualising three 'fingers' instead of the solid blue bar with the
'middle finger' slightly longer than the other two (which will be the same
length) to create a 'sonic lens' and encourage fringeing and directionality
in the higher frequencies, effectively time-smearing them long enough for
the lower frequencies to navigate the folded horn and catch up. The idea
being to create a more cohesive sound and enhance the impression of realism
with greater dynamics and a higher yield/hectare of soft fruits, legumes and
certain root vegetables. Each speaker will be measured using an array of
nine calibrated mics at 1 metre distance and different colours/paint
finishes will be tried until an optimum is attained...

:-)

Oh. Well, that'll be OK then.
