Great! Shall we invent a biwire mains cable? There would be two mains plugs
with the cables fusing into one euroconnector. We could market it - "You get twice the sound from MabelsCables" - "Hearing is believing" £450.00p a snip. -- John the West Ham fan " Dave xxxx" wrote in message .uk... Think of all the other aftermarket items can can be sold to the rich, stupid and foolish. How about magic feet? Oh, never mind... already been done. How about something magic that you plug in anywhere in the room? OH, that's already been done too. How about magic knobs? All titanium construction with an antiresonant core! |

A colleague of mine was once nearly killed by something like this that some idiot had made in the hope of spreading the load between two supply fuses, or some equally stupid idea. Pull out one plug and the pins of the other are live, which is not something you expect to find when reaching behind equipment to disconnect it. Rod. |

ITYM "pull out one plug and its pins are live". Of course. It was early in the morning when I wrote that and I was in a hurry. Perhaps I should have said "Pull out a plug and its pins are live, and you're not", except that in this case my colleague luckily escaped. It's quite scary sometimes what well-intentioned people will do in the misguided belief that it's a Good Idea. Rod. |
