Does anybody know of any places on the web selling speaker kits? I know
about http://www.iplacoustics.co.uk which has been mentioned in this group a
few times, just wondered if there were any more worth looking at.

If you're looking for a simple and effective solution check the Jordan
website

http://www.ejjordan.co.uk/ Check the JX92S and enclosure details.
Sounds very good, and can be used as a single unit or with
tweeter/subwoofer. .

Check out the Visaton site if you want to keep it real pricewise:

http://www.visaton.de/english/uebersicht/6.html

(Chase down the kits page if that link ends up in the broom cupboard...!!)

In that case look here

http://www.adireaudio.com/Home/index.htm

Although they don't do kits, they do plans and parts for active
subwoofers - and they do some seriously good drivers at low prices.

They are available in the UK

After looking at this site I managed (after trying my best to work out the
text on the small picture) to find the manufacturer of the amplifier modules
used in the kit subwoofers. As it turns out BK Electronics who make them
also sell subwoofers, the XLS200 seems to be talked about a bit on the
forums and get good reviews. Have any of you guys heard of them? Are they
any good? The price certainly look attractive.

thanks
