trivial cassette question
I have NEVER had even the slightest problem with any other named brand of audio/video tape deteriorating seriously so can only assume that the rumours, whilst having an element of truth, are greatly exaggerated! anyone else care to share their experiences....? -B- Hi All, I have a collection of cassettes collected mainly in the 1970s and early 80s, mostly major-label album releases, and many of them have become unplayable due to oxide-shedding. However, all the brand-name cassettes (mostly TDK) I recorded myself are fine. Rob. |

Forgetting that if a consumer made a tape from a disc or cd, THAT copy would usually sound better than a commercial high speed duplicated version. Now we see later that they were produced on cheap tape as well - so poor quality AND no longevity! how full of sh!t the industry bods are.... --rant mode off!-- b. |
