Copy Controlled audio CD

message ... FWIW ... first audio CD I've purchased which is 'Copy Controlled' ... released through EMI .. http://www.emimusic.info/uk/ ... Beth Orton 'the other side of daybreak' So, other than recording this CD in real time to the computer's HD can it really not be digitally ripped? Out of interest, anyone know of third party software which will allow the disc to be digitally ripped to hard disc? For 'backup purposes only' presumably? Anyway, you might/should find Sound Forge's "Extract Audio from CD" function will cream through it....... :-) |

When I got one of these recently (Mariza) I had to rip it to get a disc which would play on a "normal" CD player. Anyway, you might/should find Sound Forge's "Extract Audio from CD" function will cream through it....... I found Roxio had no problem seeing the audio tracks and ripping them. Roy. |

Nero allows you to save the tracks as wav files which can then be burned
onto a blank CDR, or you could use blindreader & blind writer. If you like the album you should buy it and support good music. keep music live! "Roy" wrote in message ... It doesn't play properly on a standard audio CD player (like many of these new generation copy protected discs). I had to rip the tracks and produce a new CDR in order to play that on a CD player. Copy protection?? Roy. |
