Just heard on the radio about a singer from a little Scottish village;

But launching "new faces" seems to be much more of an attractiuve proposition for record and management companies and magazines, than working on the second third and fourth albums of existing artists. The public constantly demands something and someone new, so the "turnover in talent" is high. Just a couple of weeks ago I was escorting a female vocalist down the stairs from the studio to a taxi waiting in the street. As I opened the taxi door, a woman recognised her, and said: "I know you. You used to be Jenni Andersson" Hmm. A has-been at the age of 23. Iain Iain |
