Mine field....

I'm am looking to Biwire up a set of Tannoy 633s to my Cambridge P500 amp
(also got another P500 on standby to Bi Amp)

Also got my Tannoy M1s that I'm going to use as rears with a Yamaha 3
channel DTS amp

Speaker wire is causing me a headache.

Anyone care to suggest wirespecs that would be a good compromise on the
fronts and also what would be the best solution for the rears.

I don't want to spend an earth BUT I want to give the system a chance.

Cheers

Tim

As I heard it, Saint Peter's rule was that the cable resistance should be
less than 5% of the minimum speaker resistance, not 10%.
He probably didn't write the ESL handbook, as it states that lamp flex
(0.75mm^2?) is sufficient for 20 or 30 feet.

Tim, I just got some silver stranded cable for about £1.70 a meter,
drop me a line if you're interested and I'll forward the chap's details.

If you want some massive 10swg multistrand cable then Maplins are doing a
promotion at £1.40-ish a meter. Do a search on their website for speaker
cables, the catalogue number is XS36P
