Quad FM4 Tuner - Power Supply Capacitor
Can anyone confirm the value of N1 in the the Quad FM4 power supply.
I believe it to be 0.047uf 100v I've not used the tuner for some time and this capacitor has split and is/was getting quite hot. |

The Quad FM4's N1 is listed in the manual as just "supressor" with Stock Number "NPMR20A". In the circuit diagram it is shown as a series R-C across the mains without values. Possibly Maplin's RG22Y would do (100 Ohms and 100 nF in series) or other similar mains-rated devices. -- John Phillips |
