The accuracy of sound reproduction in terms of issues such as

quite demonstrably *are* absolutes and can easily be measured with the
right equipment, just the way that you can demonstrably show that Tesco
is nearly always cheaper than Sainsburys.

The price difference between Tesco and Sainsbury is irrelevant if you

are
debating which taste you prefer and only that.

Tesco and Sainsbury's sell mostly the same stuff.

I disagree. Range of bottled bitters in Tesco is much *better* (tee hee)
than that in Sainsbury stores

If I ever get to the stage where I listen to music whilst watching a

'scope
I'll have myself certified

The scope is a third party which, like a camera, never lies. It's
necessary for dealing with people who claim to hear things that are not
there, specifically people who claim that vinyl reproduction contains
inherently more audio information than a digital recording does.

Why is it necessary to "deal with" people. What's wrong with "Suit yerself
mate".
It really isn't important enough to get out of your pram about.
It would seem to me that if those who like one medium can't have a
discussion
without being slagged off by those who prefer another then the formation of
a
new newsgroup would be a good idea.
Doesn't say a lot for human nature though does it.

By the way. none of you know me so I'd just like to point out that little I
say is
intended to be taken too seriously and even less is intended to offend.

Oh. I've seen some unadulterated prints and slides that tell downright
porkies

Fair's fair. I was thinking of groceries and crap like that

That's what we do during a discussion.

Third parties can be misled and spend a lot of money for nothing.

None taken.
