Default Where to download Cool Edit 2000?

I bought Cool Edit 2000 prior to it being taken over by Adobe, but now I've
lost the installer .exe file. I found a copy of the installer exe file on
the net, downloaded it and installed it, but it doesn't allow you to enter
the serial number, so I can't use it to save anything because the 30-day
trial period has run out.

Does anyone know where else I can download Cool Edit 2000 from? (the place I
found the copy on the net was on The Register website)

Thanks.

I've just downloaded and installed ce2kmain.exe, but I've got the same
problem that I had when I downloaded it from The Register, which is that
when I go to Help = Buy now, the Enter Serial Number button is greyed out,
so I won't be able to enter the serial number. And because the 30-day trial
has expired it greys out the Save and Save As menu entries on the File menu.

I think what I need is a copy of ce2kmain.exe that someone bought prior to
Adobe taking over Syntrillium.

Adobe barstewards, rrrrrrgh.

You are searching for the wrong thing ;-) You need the
"keygen" (key generator) program to install it for you.
Normally it comes with the download.

BTW this will give you the idea
http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=e...lr%3Dlang _en
*Caution* watch these sites as they are also full of
trojans, viruses and spyware.

IMHO if you use a P2P organisation e.g eMule and download
the whole thing (with keygen) you will be safe.

I hope this helps.

Cheers TT

Hi Steve,
I have CoolEdit 2000 dated Saturday, July 27, 2002, 7:52:04 AM. This would
be the time it was copied to my disk I would think. If this is suitable for
you I can either email it to you (8.24 MB (8,645,474 bytes)) or I could put
it on a disk and mail it to you.
Put your suggestions in the newsgroup and if you want it I will come back
with my contact email address.

Search on Demonoid for Cool Edit or Adobe Audition

Are you sure my serial number for Cool Edit 2000 would work with Cool Edit
Pro?

That's very kind of you.

Someone said they'd emailed me a copy yesterday, but that hasn't arrived, so
presumably the file is too large for my email provider.

I think uploading it to something like this would be an idea:

http://www.yousendit.com/

I think you upload it to their server and I download it from their server so
that it avoids the email system.

I've got it sorted now, but thanks anyway. Someone kindly sent me a copy of
the ce2kreg.exe program which allowed me to enter my serial number and it
wasn't a problem with ce2kmain.exe after all.
