silicon damping fluid
Hi All,
thanks for the info on the Marantz TT-130. I now need to get hold of some silicon damping fluid, can anyone out there tell me where to obtain some of this without paying enough to feed a family for a week? So far I've found 10cc of the fluid for about £13 incl postage which seems a little expensive. Thanks in anticipation Tony |

Thanks in anticipation Tony Hi Tony, you might try the Radio Controlled Car sources as they do use a silicon fluid in the shock absorbers on RC buggies, etc. I am not sure that you would get a heavy enough viscosity, however. I just don't know. If you went to a race day in your area you might be able to get a few drops put on your damper by one of the competitors for a few bob. It could be worth a try to see how it works. |
