silicon damping fluid

Hi All,
thanks for the info on the Marantz TT-130. I now need to get hold of some
silicon damping fluid, can anyone out there tell me where to obtain some of
this without paying enough to feed a family for a week?
So far I've found 10cc of the fluid for about £13 incl postage which seems a
little expensive.
Thanks in anticipation
Tony

It'll be enough to coat everything in the house to the depth of one
molecule....

Hi Tony,
you might try the Radio Controlled Car sources as they do use a silicon
fluid in the shock absorbers on RC buggies, etc. I am not sure that you
would get a heavy enough viscosity, however. I just don't know.
If you went to a race day in your area you might be able to get a few drops
put on your damper by one of the competitors for a few bob. It could be
worth a try to see how it works.
