using a separate DC one. Just like any amp...

Which is no more than an advertising gimmick. The best power supplies have
a very low impedance output - which means minimising cable length and
connectors.
Good quality transformers etc emit little in the way of external fields
and can in any case be screened.

Interesting point of view, not looked at it that way myself

Would by what you say, would I be right in saying you do not think
Naim seperate power supplies are a good idea then ?

Just another marketing gimmick.

You don't find even the very highest quality recording consols with one
power supply per channel - and crosstalk here could have far more serious
consequences than in a domestic pre-amp.
