Well over my head but thank you for sticking to audio.
Ludovic M.

We have lots of audio-related threads on RAT. Not all of these will be
over your head, or Jenn's, who's made similar remarks:

On negative feedback, psychoacoustics, predictive value of THD,
Hawksford, etc, nuggets among the boring stuff about BJTs you've heard
befo

On tweaking and improving an inexpensive amp:

On choosing among the resistor types:
http://groups.google.ie/group/rec.au...9a290abc6668b7

A non-technical discussion of what SET does and whether it is worth it:
http://groups.google.ie/group/rec.au...6e1f16 76bf11

And here, with simple math, just in case you're being modest, a thread
on using slew rate calculations to get a handle on killing Miller
capacitance by current on the driver, which is short enough to read
even if you have never heard of any of this before -- this is really
important stuff, and generally thought to be so difficult that even
Krueger didn't want to touch it, but I've simplified it so that I could
understand it myself, which should also do for any intelligent
audiophile:

And, of course, the usual flamebait, but here addressing the important
question of whether science is a fixed quantity, as people like Poopie
and Arny claim:
http://groups.google.ie/group/rec.au...54275ecf5e81ed

And those are just the threads I started in the last two days, all of
them about various aspects of audio (1). It's just that we don't
normally crosspost audio-interest posts to RAO because we have become
accustomed to RAOists wanting only fight their flame wars on our patch.

But, all the same, we'd be mortified if actively interested audiophiles
like you and Jenn somehow got the idea that RAT, the centre of the free
tube universe, is merely about flame wars or obscure technicalities. We
like to think we're much more interesting than that so that we can
welcome interested and interesting people.

Er, Jenn, have you considered editing the post you're replying to?
It's helpful when your reply is only a word long.

Conceivably even a case where top-posting wouldn't be frowned on !

The "course" ears? What kind of ears are they?
