Slainte,

Jim

Jim.
You are the person who solved my problem. I had tried CD Republic,
Richer Sounds etc., to no avail.

CD Republic, (when they have them), are about £24 for 100, (unbranded)
but I understand very good. The story they told me in Leicester's store
is that they used to supply the BBC. The manufacturer makes them about
once a year in huge amounts and they are in great demand, (they said),
and he will let me know when the next order is in. They sold their last
allocation before the supplier had manufactured a new lot and may have
more before Christmas.

The type I bought are MAXELL CDR 80 XL-Audio S/Offer 100 carton for £30.
Delighted with this but a little surprised at the postage £7.45 and I
opted for a private carrier for an extra £2 so the total was £39.45, it
does mount up.
Even if I have not been as wise as I should have been I have learned
from it and at least I have my disks. It would be nice to know from you
Jim that I did OK if you have time to let me know.
Again, all my thanks for this one, I owe you.

Yes, the snag with pricebuster is that the charge a lot for 'post and
packing'. It seems to be their way to establish a sort of 'minimum order'
for people since it makes sense to buy discs in large batches. I tend to
buy a load of blank CDRs and DVD+Rs at the same time.

Glad I was able to help. I have used Maxell discs and they seem fine, but I
tend to prefer the TDK discs as they work more reliably in my older players
once written.

Slainte,

Jim

Thanks Jim, I see you are a member of the Barbirolli Society, I am a
devoted fan but not a member, must do something about that.

Regards,

FWIW I set up and built their website for them. This seems to have been
successful in letting people know about Barbirolli and the Society. However
after about ten years I will shortly be removing the old Barbirolli site as
the Society now has taken over this and are making a new site.

Slainte,

Jim
