1/8th jackplug
I have an Ion USB deck that takes input from tape decks via a
"1/8th jackplug". The Maplin catalogue has no such object. Wikipedia says its the same as a 3.5mm jack, so I tried Maplins one (Nikai brand) and it doesnt go into the recessed hole because the body of the plug is slightly too fat, cant tell if the jack itself will fit. Anybody know a specific product that would fit? -- Mike Reid I will agree bendybuses are a good idea when they build bungalows on Mayfair Walk-eat-photos UK "http://www.fellwalk.co.uk" -- you can email us@ this site Walk-eat-photos Spain "http://www.fell-walker.co.uk" |

Anybody know a specific product that would fit? Try one molded on to a cable. These are often slimmer. The ubiquitous "computer audio cable" is a 3.5mm stereo jack plug to 2 x phono plugs. Quite likely you have one already. If the phonos don't suit get adaptors or cut them off and solder something else on. |

Anybody know a specific product that would fit? Chances are a moulded on one will have a smaller body than a user replaceable type. Can you measure the diameter of the recess? I've got several different makes of solder type plugs and one might just fit. (Maplin types seem to use the same body as phonos and other plugs) -- *If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular? I expect the manufacturers can sell a suitable cable ... at a price. Ah yes, how naive of me. I've got several different makes of solder type plugs and one might just fit. (Maplin types seem to use the same body as phonos and other plugs) without measuring, yes, its identical to a phono body, it just needs to be a minute bit smaller, less than you could easily measure without calipers. I may try cutting off some of the plastic (luckily I ordered two by mistake!) If any of your solder plugs are slimmer than a phono. i'll tour the shops looking at what they have. *If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular? because lust isnt? -- Mike Reid I will agree bendybuses are a good idea when they build bungalows on Mayfair Walk-eat-photos UK "http://www.fellwalk.co.uk" -- you can email us@ this site Walk-eat-photos Spain "http://www.fell-walker.co.uk" |
