I gather the class A versions are more sought after. I thought they were fine with some pretty hard to drive Dynaudio 42s, but not up to the reference that is valve :-) If you want manuals I can email electronic copies to you - there's quite a bit about the technical do-das. Rob Hi Thanks for your reply, those were yours were they , thought they go for more than that, this one went for 700 AU dollars power amp alone http://www.decibelhifi.com.au/category6_3.htm I have the silver C21 Pre Amp so might make a slight difference In 1977 Myself and a friend started Enigma Audio in Hove, with the Enigma Variations range ,and Sugden ,Quad ,Lecson, and Naim were some of the competition, I seem to remember our 100 watt Power Amp, in mine, and others peoples opinion, knocked the socks of it for bass response and shear grunt, mind you we had a huge power supply, DC coupled output ,and mj10005x and the other polarity output devices, Our amp could double power into 4 ohms , this has not got the output stage to handle that sort of power , the Supply Fuses are only 2 amp , Are your Dynaudio 8 ohm or 4 Manuals would be great please ,that is a working addy , Do you need power and the LT from power amp connected for the preamp to function , seems odd ? Many thanks once more, just noticed clock , time for a beer :-) Later -- M Wright |

Any chance I could have a copy? :-) Posted at: http://patchoulian.googlepages.com/sugdenc51andp51 I seem to be having some problems with fetching the above list of files. The fetches seem to terminate prematurely, typically after just over 350 kb for a file have been downloaded. Tried connecting at various times, and using two different browsers, with the same problem. I have managed to get the first three files OK, but as yet have been unable to get a complete copy of the final two. Also, the final file is reported by software as being a 1660kb total. The fetches seem to terminate prematurely, typically after just over 350 kb for a file have been downloaded. Tried connecting at various times, and using two different browsers, with the same problem. Curious - I've just tried again (and put up a pic - 350KB if you click on it) and it seems OK. I have managed to get the first three files OK, but as yet have been unable to get a complete copy of the final two. I'll email them to you if you like - I know you haven't go broadband, so be prepared for clogged up internet for a few minutes if you'd like them sent. Also, the final file is reported by software as being a 1660kb total. My mistake - I did manage to get it down to 1MB at one point but the quality wasn't too good. I saved the files as pdf from the scanner and compressing pdfs is tricky, lesson learned etc. Rob |

I'll try again this morning as it may have been a temporary snag. I'll then report back to say how I got on. I managed to get the first three files - although the third one took me a few tries before I managed to fetch the complete file before the connection ended. [Just tried again at 10:10 GMT before sending this posting. As before, the connection ended before the complete file had been sent. I tried fetching the JPEG photo, and this was fine. I am wondering if there is something odd about the server as I've noticed something else. The PDFs are not filetyped correctly once the transfer ends. This is the case for those which have transferred completely as well as the partial attempts. Yet PDFs from elsewhere are filetyped OK. The JPEG also filetyped OK. Perhaps the server isn't declaring the details exactly correctly? Anyway, yes, I'd appreciate it Rob if you could email me the last two files. Sorry for the bother.] Slainte, Jim -- Electronics http://www.st-and.ac.uk/~www_pa/Scot...o/electron.htm Audio Misc http://www.st-and.demon.co.uk/AudioMisc/index.html Armstrong Audio http://www.st-and.demon.co.uk/Audio/armstrong.html Barbirolli Soc. http://www.st-and.demon.co.uk/JBSoc/JBSoc.html |
