Small bookshelf speakers approx £100

Mate wants some speakers, per the title. They would actually go on a
bookshelf, rather than stands, so rear port is out. Any suggestions
for decent sound at the price?

Wharfedale Diamond 8.1 comes to mind. Front port, they're defenitely
worth a listen.
