Newbie aussie speakers
Hi guys,
I say an obscure little ad in an Aussie Hifi mag for a backyard company called Tympanic and checked their web site. http://www.tympanic.com.au/ The photos show backdrops of the aussie outback (tin shed and gum trees). I am not sure if it was intentional or not but anyway take time to check it out and comment. Cheers Max |

Cheers Max I'm not hugely impressed with the speakers:- Multiple tweeters, especially side-by-side will result in large off-axis nulls. I don't expect a pair of these to image terribly well. If used singly for two channels, well, words fail me. S. |

I can't see why a membrane covered cavity within the boxes would help... or are they referring to the speaker cones themselves as the membrane? I agree with the tweeter nulls though. It's the same way ultrasonic alarms work with interference patterns causing peaks and nulls in a room.... Les -- Remove Frontal Lobes to reply direct.
