Default Best slim budget amp?

Got some bits off ebay but 'er indores says they're too bulky for the
kitchen. I think I just might get away with it if I can swap the rather
bulky receiver for a slim - ie, not 'high' (but standard width) amplifier.
I'm not much bothered about power: 15/20W per channel would be plenty. It
would have to be an ebay jobbie - age isn't an issue. The cheaper the
better. I'd ideally like outputs for four speakers...any suggestions?

All advice appreciated

The Cambridge Audio P40/P50/P100 are 50mm (2") high. Powers from 25wpc.

As is usual for SS amps of that era, they won't really drive 4 ohm speakers,
so driving two sets might pose a challenge. You could alsways use two pairs
of 15 ohm LS3/5As......

If you are happy with old equipment then something like an Armstrong 626
may fit your bill. Has two (switched) pairs of LS outlets and should work
fine if in decent condition. If you aren't familiar with these, more
details on the relevant website - URL below in my sig.

Slainte,

Jim
