CD Transport/Modules

Can anyone give me a link to suppliers of Philips or DVS trnasport/module
vendors.

Try as I might, I can't find the right bit of Philips, nor the CD stuff from
DVS

UK prefered, but I'd be happy with any suggestions

Any help appreciated

Cheers
Ed.

I doubt you will find one in the UK unless the position has changed
since I last looked; the one UK opportunity which should not be
overlooked is buying a cheap player with the Philips CDM-9 or -12
built in (you scrap the rest of it) for less than the laser/transport
module alone. A likely player is identified on my netsite, address
further down.

However, Holger Stein of Stein Music in Germany sells single units of
the best Philips CDM-12 units to DIYers. He's a good guy who will
probably also offer help on connecting it if you need help. Address:

You may also be interested in an article on my netsite about my
experience with building my own CD players and DACs.

Depending on what you have in mind, a secondhand Quad CD66 or 67 could
be a far better deal for you than DIY.
