I looking for enough material to recover my Linn Helix speaker grilles.

The fabric is really thin (almost see through) and is black.
Does anyone know where this may be bought.

I could ring Linn but something tells me this could get very expensive.

Cut up a pair of tights?

(If you're that rare person, an audiophile with a girlfriend :-)

My girlfriend has offered to send you a old pair of her factor 10
support tights. These should last for years.

She is fairly tolerant of my hi-fi, but draws the line at doubling-up
my electrostatic speakers!

It was actually a serious suggestion. An excellent substitute for
expensive microphone "pop" shields is a double thickness of tights
material on a bent coat hanger frame. I'm sure it would be good for
speakers too.
