hi
i have a rather old system and need a cd player,my system comprises rotel
931 amp,rt850 tuner and tannoy mercury speakers.i am finding it very hard to
buy a decent cd player on ebay and most shops want to sell me a dvd player
which i don't need.i have tried hifi trading station in peterborough but
they told me to buy a nad for £200 but this would be wasted on my
system.anyone got any advice on what to buy.budget £100 must be black and
have a remote

Richer Sounds have a wide selection. Or get a DVD player - they play
CDs too.

thanks for the advice given apart from phil allison who seems too excel in
abuse when it is really not called for.afterall i only wanted some advice
not abuse,i have decided to get a sony for about £85 inc delivery

Seriously, just look out for decent suff and bid readonably - I picked up
a
Marantz CD63 Mk2 KI Sig for *just* over £100

Failing that, get along to a brach of Richer sounds - they will have a
choice
below £100 new.

I was given a Pioneer Tuner amp, speakers and turntable a few weeks ago. I
was visiting my local tip with some junk and happened to mention to one of
the chaps that I needed a CD player. Ho showed me into one of the containers
where they have things for recycling. I picked up a Cambridge Audio CD
player for a couple of quid and when connected, it was absolutely brilliant.

Ur right, but you should see all the junk that I have got rid of on the
Freecycle web sites.... I'm sure that my loft breathed a sigh of relief
