What, no license and the CCLA police will come along and
throw him , the church and the family in jail and levy a
fine for millions?

It's just a funeral for God's sake!

I'm with you John. What kind of an idiot would post such crap over a
funeral?

Oh dear! :-)

Playback of the deceased's favourite music at the funeral is pretty
universal nowadays. I'm sure the church has approached this issue.

Now, do you recommend I wipe my arse front-to-back or the other way?

Yes, so am I and the Funeral Director concerned fully knows the score as
this a regular (100%?) practice nowadays, I gather....

Moira's mum (who the music is wanted for) is the LAST person who would have
wanted to rip anyone off, believe me. The CD 'Highland Cathedral' *has* been
ordered from Amazon (Order #026-3038464-8074002) which covers that one - Mel
Gibson and James Horner will just have to do the big thing and take it on
the chin for their part. (It's just the one gig.........)

I've got my own theories about how the 'Royalties' system and decades of
greedy overpricing have caused the MI's current problems (if problems they
really be - maybe it's just time they grew up a bit) but now is not the
time......

Many thanks, once again, to those who responded.

KG

Believe me, the day there is no longer big money to be made in music
distribution, the only sound you'll hear will be a faint "pop" as the
big boys pull out of the market.

If you've got a taste for over-hyped pop, tough. The facilities for
any group of musicians to make a competent recording at reasonable
cost, and to make it universally available, have been around for many
years now.
