These are modified from the "Suzy Chang" design. The aim was to fit
Fostex FE107e drivers into enclosures with a small footprint and limited height (they have to stand beneath a window). The original design is for FE103 drivers so I've resized things a bit. The woodwork has to be done outside... www.mixpix.batcave.net/1.jpg Some delay in getting these pictures ready. At the moment the WAF is too low, so I've had to wait until now before bringing them into the house! The business end: www.mixpix.batcave.net/2.jpg Still experimenting with stuffing. Some of this has been recycled through many speakers now - and shows it! www.mixpix.batcave.net/3.jpg The horn-type thingy end: www.mixpix.batcave.net/4.jpg Testing at last. Amps shown running are a pair of Crimson monoblocks. The one between them (not in use here) is an ancient but excellent NAD3020. www.mixpix.batcave.net/5.jpg Not much in the way of bass on these (in theory -3dB is at 70Hz) but they sound very nice with suitable program material. If I'm *very* lucky I'll get the sides glued on before Christmas! -- Mick (Working in a M$-free zone!) Web: http://www.nascom.info http://mixpix.batcave.net |

Another thing to try with a highish WAF are the metronomes designed by a friend of mine. http://web.mac.com/scress1958/iWeb/S...e-Speaker.html -- Nick |

Another thing to try with a highish WAF are the metronomes designed by a friend of mine. I wonder very much how these would sound with Jordan JX92S |
