Speaker stands and top plate size
What effect does the size of the top plate on a speaker stand have on
the sound. I am looking at some stands where the top plate is somewhat smaller than the speakers footprint so some of the speaker will hang over the edge of the stand. |

The entire cabinet has subtle effects on how the sound radiates but we're talking very subtle. Certainly not something to fret over in everyday situations for domestic listening. Graham |

As long as it's big enough to support the speaker, no difference at all. Though I'm sure you could ask elsewhere and get some audiophool pseudo-science to suggest it did :-) |

On a different subject. I just started to read some of the earlier
posts and came across the MI5 persecution posts that this forum is full of. I read one where he described when he believes this started. A day when a news reader started giggling at him. At first I though he must work in Television and the news reader came over to his house. But no, he means the news reader was on TV and giggled. He believes it was at him. This guy is a loony isn't he? |
