Poundland and HDCD
 

I buy a lot of music CDs from the usual high street stores (HMV, WH
Smiths, Morrisons, Woolworths) and online - anything interesting and
chart. I also buy a minority from Poundland - the national chain where
everything is a pound...

Strangely, most of the HDCD discs in my collection originated from
Poundland! - and no, I'm not selecting them because I'm HDCD logo
spotting. In fact some discs I've bought there don't announce themselves
as HDCD encoded on the labelling.

Must be a story there, but I can't see it ...
