Gramophone archive opened, including Audio reviews,
 
Ummm, as the title says. If you've only read the Gramophone in the last
few years you might be pleasantly surprised how good it used to be.
Scanned text of the articles are open to all, but you have to register
to get the PDF facsimile.
Here's a taste from 1977 " The Musicassette: Boon or Monster" by John
Borwick.

Now, what about all the other magazines out there?

I'd kill to get access to an similar on-line archive of Practical
Electronics, Everyday Electronics, ETI, Elektor, Practical Wireless,
What HiFi, Radcom, Electronics - the Maplin Magazine, Television,
Wireless World, Personal Computer World, Computer Shopper ... Anorak
Review...

Thanks for the link, fascinating stuff. I liked this editorial from the
July 1938 issue:

"E.M.G. Hand-made Gramophones have most kindly fitted me up for my stay
in London with one of their magnificent Radiograms".

They used to be in Soho Square. I remember I used to deliver packages to
them as a lowly film company employee in the late 1950s
