New page on speaker cables
Just to let people know that I've now put up a webversion of the second
article I did on Loudspeaker Cables for HFN. This one is called "Ohm and Away"[1] and is now linked from the main Audiomisc page. I've been told that the third article will (finally!) appear in the issue of HFN that comes out at the end of this month. The third article has the measured results for various cables, and is presented in a form that allows the results to be compared with the theoretical predictions in the earlier articles. Slainte, Jim -- Change 'noise' to 'jcgl' if you wish to email me. If you start with the relevant URL in my sig you can probably get there with rather less than a thousand. Hence the last phrase of the above. However if two mouseclicks are double the number you can tolerate, I can supply http://www.audiomisc.co.uk/HFN/Cables2/OhmAndAway.html to make life easier. :-) BTW since I am responding, I can point out that the "[1]" was a footnote I forgot to add to my posting. Should have been... [1] Bad pun alert. Slainte, Jim -- Change 'noise' to 'jcgl' if you wish to email me.
