6U rack mounting instrument case
 

I need a 6U high 19inch rack mounting instrument case for my next
project. I can find plenty of 4U high cases (Maplin et al) but not one
6U high case.

Unfortunately, that is a rack into which you can mount an instrument
case. I want the instrument case that you would mount into such an item.

A google found this bunch http://www.rittal.co.uk

They sell instrument cases and subracks, both for 6U applications. A
real challenge finding PDF's for some of their products though.

It seems to be easy enough to buy a 6U panel, would that not do? You
could fabricate your own box or boxes behind it.

Yeah, their web site is atrocious is it not? I found their sub racks but
I cannot find a 6U instrument case - did you?

I am leaning towards that as a solution. There are plenty of steel 6U
rack cases and I could just add front and rear panels. It makes it a
free standing unit then rather than rack mountable but it certainly
widens the options a lot.

£300+ wanted by Vero and Rittal, AND you get all these useful project
building features too:
